Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of west central Michigan, including the
following county, Newaygo.
* WHEN...Until 100 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Impacts to some rural roads, including at least 1
washout, have been reported. No significant flooding is expected,
but high flow through the creeks and small streams in the area
will continue for a few more hours as the water finds its way into
the bigger streams and rivers.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1100 AM EDT, reliable reports have been received of 3-4"+
of rain in the advisory area from earlier this morning. No
additional rainfall is expected. Minor flooding likely
continues in a few areas.
