* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of central, northeast, south central, southeast, and southwest Iowa, including the following counties, in central Iowa, Boone, Dallas, Grundy, Hardin, Jasper, Marshall, Polk, Poweshiek, Story and Tama. In northeast Iowa, Black Hawk and Bremer. In south central Iowa, Appanoose, Clarke, Decatur, Lucas, Madison, Mahaska, Marion, Monroe, Ringgold, Union, Warren and Wayne. In southeast Iowa, Davis and Wapello. In southwest Iowa, Taylor. * WHEN...From 7 PM CDT this evening through Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - - Several rounds of thunderstorms are expected tonight through Sunday night. A band of heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur, especially tonight and again Sunday night. Some locations may have event totals exceeding 5 inches of rainfall.
