Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast South Carolina, including the
following counties, Beaufort and Jasper.
* WHEN...Until 900 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of
water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 645 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated another area of heavy
rain just offshore of Hilton Head and the Savannah River
Entrance. This activity will push onshore and produce another
round of heavy rainfall through 9 AM. As much as 2 to 4
inches of rain have already fallen across portions of the
advisory area this morning and an additional 1 to 3 inches
could fall through 9 AM. If the rain becomes more intense
than expected, a Flash Flood Warning may be needed.

Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, Bellinger Hill Area,
Pritchardville, Rose Hill, Forest Beach, Calawassie Island,
Palmetto Bluff, Myrtle Island and Brighton Beach.
