Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.
The next statement will be issued this afternoon at 530 PM CDT.
The combination of recent rainfall and light winds is allowing the
development of patchy dense fog this morning, particularly across
the interior south-central UP. Visibilities in dense fog will
drop to a quarter of a mile or less, resulting in hazardous travel
for motorists. If you encounter dense fog, slow down, use your
low beam headlights and allow room between you and the car in
front of you.
Fog is expected to dissipate after sunrise.
