* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast North Carolina, including the following counties, Brunswick and New Hanover. * WHEN...Until 1015 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 812 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to training showers and thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, Snows Cut, South Masonboro Island, North Masonboro Island, Sea Breeze, Silver Lake, Myrtle Grove and Masonboro. - weather.gov/safety/flood
