Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Wisconsin, including the following
counties, Dodge, Washington and Waukesha.
* WHEN...Until 700 PM CDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Rivers are
moving swiftly. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1147 AM CDT, Dispatch and media reports numerous roads
remain closed. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen
since last evening.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in
the warned area through the evening.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Waukesha, Hartford, Pewaukee, Hartland, Mukwonago, Delafield,
Wales, Okauchee Lake, Oconomowoc, Ottawa, Merton, Dousman,
North Prairie, Iron Ridge, Lac La Belle, Potter Lake,
Addison, Ashippun, Rubicon and Eagle.
