Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
* WHAT...Hot temperatures of 95 to 100 degrees with warm overnight
temperatures of 55 to 65 degrees.
* WHERE...Portions of south central Siskiyou County, including the
communities of Mt Shasta City, McCloud and Dunsmuir.
* WHEN...Until 2 AM PDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Unusually hot temperatures will increase risk for heat
illnesses. Warm overnight temperatures will provide little relief
from daytime temperatures.
