A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are
either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong
winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from noon to 8 PM MDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS: Low Humidities...Hot Temperatures...and Strong Gusty
Winds could cause erratic fire behavior.
* AFFECTED AREA:
In Central WY...Fire Weather Zone 283.
* COUNTIES AFFECTED:
In Central WY...Fremont.
* WIND: West 15 to 20 mph with gusts 30 to 35 mph. Strongest winds
will occur north and west of Dubois with lighter winds around 10
to 15 mph with gusts to around 20 to 25 mph across central and
eastern portions of the Wind River Basin.
* HUMIDITY: As low as 13 percent.
* TEMPERATURES: Highs in the lower 90s.
