At 400 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles southeast of Loop Road Ee Center, or 24 miles northwest of Homestead General Airport, moving west at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Loop Road Ee Center, Wilderness Waterway, Fortymile Bend, and Everglades National Park.
