* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of central South Carolina, including the
following counties, Aiken, Edgefield and Saluda.
* WHEN...Until 215 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1112 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Aiken, Aiken Mall, New Ellenton, Ridge Spring, Aiken
Municipal Airport, Citizens Park, USC Aiken, Wagener,
Monetta, New Holland, Hopeland Gardens, Vaucluse and
Hibernia.
- This includes Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile
markers 13 and 37.
