Warning for the following rivers in Iowa...
Upper Iowa River at Dorchester Hwy 76 affecting Allamakee County.
.Heavy rainfall over the past several days is leading to rises on
the Upper Iowa river.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Upper Iowa River at Dorchester Hwy 76.
* WHEN...From this evening to early Wednesday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Lowland agricultural areas begin to flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 6:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 11.8 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this evening to a crest of 14.5 feet just after midnight
tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow
afternoon.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
14.5 feet on 03/12/1989.
