The National Weather Service in La Crosse WI has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Minnesota...Wisconsin...
Turtle Creek Near Austin 3NW affecting Mower County.
Trempealeau River at Arcadia affecting Trempealeau and Buffalo
Counties.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of
record.
* WHERE...Turtle Creek near Austin 3NW.
* WHEN...Until early Thursday morning.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 5:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 9.8 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late this morning to a crest of 13.0 feet tomorrow morning.
It will then fall below flood stage early Wednesday
afternoon.
- Flood stage is 10.5 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
12.9 feet on 06/01/2000.
