* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of northwest Indiana, including the following counties, Lake IN and Porter. * WHEN...Until 1015 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may be ongoing in poor drainage and urban areas. Some roads and streets may still be flooded. High water may recede slowly from flooded areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 540 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicate that between 2 and 4 inches of rain fell across the advisory area from Monday evening through early this morning. It will likely take additional time for flood waters to fully recede. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Portage, Merrillville, Valparaiso, Schererville, Hobart, Highland, Munster, Chesterton, Griffith, Dyer, Lake Station, Lynwood, far southern Gary, South Haven, Porter, New Chicago, Burns Harbor, Ogden Dunes, Town of Pines and Beverly Shores. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
