A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of northwest Indiana, including the following
counties, Lake IN and Porter.
* WHEN...Until 1215 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Roads and streets may be flooded. High water likely may recede
slowly from flooded areas. Area creeks and streams are already
elevated, increasing the risk of flooding due to additional
rainfall.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 914 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicate that between 2 and 4 inches of rain fell yesterday
afternoon and evening. While the threat for additional heavy
rainfall has ended, some creeks and streams remain swollen,
and excessive rainfall will continue to take time to recede
and drain off.

Hobart, Highland, Munster, Chesterton, Griffith, Dyer, Lake
