Warning for the following rivers in Kansas...
Cottonwood River near Plymouth affecting Lyon and Chase Counties.
Neosho River near Chanute affecting Neosho and Allen Counties.
Cottonwood River at Cottonwood Falls affecting Chase County.
Cow Creek near Hutchinson affecting Reno and Rice Counties.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Neosho River near Chanute.
* WHEN...From Thursday evening to Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, The right bank overflows and agricultural
flooding can be expected.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 8.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late tomorrow evening to a crest of 23.8 feet early Friday
morning. It will then fall below flood stage Friday morning.
- Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
