Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Central Cochise county, mainly near Sunizona. * WHEN...Until 1030 PM MST. * IMPACTS...Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 950 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Between 0.75 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Whitewater Draw, Turkey Creek, Witch Creek, Ash Creek, Pridham Creek and Stanford Creek.
