* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Arizona, including the
following areas, Apache Junction/Gold Canyon, Dripping Springs,
Fountain Hills/East Mesa, Globe/Miami, Mazatzal Mountains, New
River Mesa, Northwest Pinal County, Pinal/Superstition Mountains,
Rio Verde/Salt River, San Carlos, Southeast Gila County, Superior
and Tonto Basin.
* WHEN...From 8 AM MST this morning through this evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water
crossings may be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Increasing moisture ahead of an area of low pressure will
promote scattered thunderstorm activity capable of producing
heavy rainfall by late morning into the evening hours Friday.
Rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches are likely to occur, with
potentially higher amount possible.
