Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
There is an elevated fire risk on Wednesday, due to combinations of factors; north-northeast gust up to 20 MPH, relative humidity values between 35 and 40 percent, and drought-stressed fuel littering the ground. A period between late-morning and sunset are expected to bring the lowest RH values and strongest wind gusts. This forecast takes into account meteorological, fuel, and land conditions, and was developed in coordination with state fire and land management officials. Open burning is not recommended on Wednesday. Follow instructions of local fire wardens. Be very careful when handling and disposing of ignition sources outdoors, such as cigarettes or matches.
