People are urged to secure vessels and loose objects that could
be blown around or damaged by the wind.
* WHAT...East winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 60 mph
possible.
* WHERE...Prince of Wales Island and Annette Island.
* WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon through late Tuesday night.
* IMPACTS...High winds could blow around unsecured objects,
damage property and cause power outages. Travel could be
difficult.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Confidence has increased on a low pressure
centered tracking north towards the southern panhandle. This
pattern usually brings elevated sustained winds across SE AK and
high wind gusts, upwards of 60 mph, to the southern panhandle.
Current peak gusts are projected to happen late Tuesday
afternoon into Tuesday evening. If the low continues to track
farther north, the watch may need to be expanded.
