Avoid flooded roadways. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
At 610 AM PST, The public reported thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Rain rates of 0.2 to 0.5 inches per 30
minutes have been reported approaching the area. Flash flooding is
already occurring.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rainfall and
thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Public reported, radar and automated gauges.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas. Debris flows in and around
recent burn scars. Mud and rock slides are possible
anywhere, especially through canyons and passes and near
higher terrain.
