If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
The combination of gusty northwesterly winds, and low afternoon
relative humidities will lead to an elevated fire risk this
afternoon, even despite the light rain early this morning.
Northwest winds will be sustained at 15 to 20 mph gusting 25 to
30 mph, which could allow for fires to become uncontrolled.
Relative humidity values will also drop into the mid to upper 20s.
Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether
you can burn today. Use extreme caution when burning as fires may
get out of hand quickly in these conditions.
