Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while
driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken
on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and
slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
WINTER WEATHER IMPACTS CONTINUE THIS MORNING...
.Light snowfall and breezy winds of 20 to 35 mph will continue this
morning, prolonging the already difficult travel conditions south of
Interstate 90. Periods of blowing snow are expected, further
reducing visibility at times. Snowfall and winds begin to diminish
from west to east by the afternoon as the winter storm moves out of
the region.
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to one inch.
* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Iowa, southeast
Minnesota, and central, southwest, and west central Wisconsin.
* WHEN...Until noon CST today.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous.
