Two semitrailer truck drivers have been killed in a multi-vehicle crash on I-41/94 in Racine County.

All lanes of the highway were closed just after 11 a.m. Wednesday because of the crash.

The southbound lanes lanes reopened at Ryan Road at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, but the northbound lanes were expected to remain closed overnight between Highway 11 and Highway G in Caledonia as crews make repairs to the pavement from fire damage.

The scene was in the construction zone near County Road K in Caledonia.

Racine County Sheriff Christopher Schmaling said the crash happened when a southbound semitrailer made a lane change, over-corrected and lost control.
