Severe storm rumbles across St. Louis region

A nasty storm with fierce winds that probably included a tornado rumbled through the area late Saturday afternoon, dropping tree limbs, starting a fire that heavily damaged a house and leaving minor structural damage elsewhere in its wake. No injuries were reported from the storm, which appeared to hit southwestern St. Louis County the hardest, depositing a stream of hail and knocking out power along its route.
