A fast-moving, powerful storm spawned three tornadoes as it moved through the Tulsa area early Thursday, damaging homes and businesses and knocking out power to about 45,000 customers at its peak. Two EF-2 tornadoes (with winds of up to 111-135 mph), one southwest of Tulsa and one southeast of Oneta, were recorded along with an EF-0 (65-80 mph) tornado at 21st Street and Lynn Lane in Tulsa. Also, straight-line winds between 80 mph and 100 mph were recorded in the city.
