Wisconsin-based property and casualty insurers say they are working to handle claims generated by severe thunderstorms and tornadoes that pounded the Upper Midwest this week, even as more severe storms were swirling Friday afternoon and evening. Madison-based American Family Insurance had received 130 claims by late morning Friday and was expecting up to 2,500 as a result of storm damage that occurred on Thursday, said spokeswoman Sandra Spann.
