Small deluge of damage claims for insurers in Texas

The storm that dumped several inches to more than a foot of rain on many parts of south and Central Texas on Tuesday night has also left insurance companies with a rising number of damage claims. "We're seeing a lot of water claims," said Brent Allen, a State Farm agent whose Northwest Austin office received about 20 calls regarding water damage from the remnants of Tropical Storm Hermine by mid-afternoon Wednesday.
