Accomplice in Ohio fraud scheme sentenced to 6-month jail term

An accomplice in an insurance fraud scheme in Ohio has been sentenced to a six-month jail term and must pay restitution and fines totaling more than $131,000, Ohio Department of Insurance Director Mary Jo Hudson announced. Christopher Davis of Toledo, Ohio, was sentenced on Nov. 5, 2010, by Wood County Common Pleas Court Judge Alan Mayberry to spend six months in jail and one year of probation for his role in an insurance fraud scheme involving Dr. Stacey Royal of Perrysburg, Ohio. He must also pay more than $133,000 in restitution to the identified victims and more than $18,000 in investigatory costs.
