Social Media Is Becoming a Workers’ Comp Investigative Tool

Many companies are beginning to capitalize on the value of social media as a recruitment tool. But it can also be useful for other purposes, as long as you don’t overstep legal and administrative boundaries. And one is workers’ comp investigations. For example, if an employee who files a back injury claim and has strict lifting restrictions posts a photo on Facebook of himself lifting a heavy barbell, that’s a red flag.
