Police Warn of Distracted Drivers After Officer, Boy Hurt in Crash

Solon police officer who was transporting a small child in her cruiser was injured when the car was rear-ended after responding to another accident in the same location. Solon Police Lieutenant Joe Alestock says the department was notified by drivers on US 422 of the first accident about 7:45 p.m. on Monday. Callers reported seeing a Jeep Wrangler leave the roadway traveling eastbound and crashing into a stand of trees without making any attempt to stop.
