Patient dies in crash between ambulance and dump truck in Polk County, MO

A deadly accident Friday afternoon involving an ambulance and a dump truck in Polk County. It happened around 1:30 pm Friday about a mile east of Fair Play on Highway 32. The ambulance was en route to Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar. The patient inside, 67 year old James Pettibone of Greenfield, died at the scene. Three others in the ambulance and the driver of the truck were taken from the wreck by helicopter to Springfield hospitals.
