TRAX train collides with tow truck, derails in Murray

A TRAX train collided with a tow truck at 6100 South Monday morning. According to Murray Police officer Kenny Bass, the crossing arm at 6100 South had been down for a long time when some drivers decided to travel through the barricades and cross the tracks. Bass said the driver of a tow truck was crossing when a south bound train struck him and smashed the tow truck in half. Bass said the driver was transported to the Intermountain Medical Center in serious condition.
