Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011 Auto Liability Property

A pickup truck struck a utility pole and flipped several times before striking a 300-year-old house early Tuesday, police said. Homeowners Craig and Deborah Ferrer said they were in their second-floor bedroom when they woke up to the sound of a crash. Craig Ferrer said he thought a telephone pole had fallen on the roof. The pickup, traveling south on Main Street, struck the home at 412 Main Street about 1 a.m. Tuesday, Lt. Kevin Roche said. The 23-year-old driver was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital for his injuries.
