Employees angry over restaurant fraud

Tuesday, December 6th, 2011 Liability

A New Haven restaurant abruptly closed its doors leaving its employees out of work and without a paycheck. Carlee Carvalco was excited to start her job as hostess at Pic-Nic, New Haven’s newest restaurant on Chapel Street, and said the owners, John Coleates and Jeremiah Kobelka seemed so nice. "They said it was just gonna be this fun experience," said Carvalco, "and just really good food and they seemed like very nice and genuine people, I mean, their motto is just comfortable food." The restaurant opened for two weeks**, but abruptly shut down last week.
