Vehicle drives into Homewood insurance office

Thursday, July 11th, 2013 Auto Liability Property

It shouldn’t be hard for an insurance adjuster to find a building that was struck by a vehicle Wednesday. A sports utility vehicle ended up inside Ted Townley’s State Farm insurance office following a two-vehicle wreck in the 3000 block of Independence Drive (U.S. 31) about 6 p.m. There were no injuries and no one was in the building at the time. A van was turning across two lanes of stopped traffic when it was struck by the SUV in the outside lane, according to a Homewood police officer. The SUV continued on through the front window of the office.
