10 dead after truck collides with bus carrying students in California

Ten people were killed and dozens injured in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 in Northern California after a FedEx truck collided with a tour bus carrying high school students, authorities said. The drivers of the delivery truck and the charter bus carrying students on a college visit were among those killed in the fiery crash on Thursday, California Highway Patrol officials said. Three adult chaperones and five teenage students also died. Their identities haven’t been released. CHP Officer Timothy Howath told Fox40.com that the crash occurred at about 5:30 p.m. on Interstate 5 near Orland, a small city north of Sacramento.
