Calif. Driver Rescued from Overturned Semi Truck

Wednesday, June 18th, 2014 Auto Liability

Just before 3 a.m. Tuesday, Sacramento firefighters cut through trees and brush, trying to stabilize an overturned truck and rescue the trapped driver. “The most difficult part was stabilizing the truck so we could get him out of there. We could not get him out if the truck was going to overturn on our rescue workers,” Chad Hertzell, CHP spokesperson, said. Tow truck cables were strapped tightly to the rig. After two hours, the driver was taken out. “He is in stable condition, but he had some head trauma and trauma to his wrist,” Hertzell said.
