Georgia woman sought for staging falls at three grocery stores

Insurance Commissioner Ralph announced today that warrants have been issued for a South Georgia woman on insurance fraud charges. Willie Mae Nails, 48, whose last known residences were in Chatham and Toombs Counties, has been charged with two counts of insurance fraud and one count of theft by deception for staging slip-and-fall accidents at three Savannah grocery stores. “The investigation by my Fraud Division revealed that Nails allegedly staged the slip-and-fall accidents at a Kroger, Piggly Wiggly and One Stop Shop,” Hudgens said. “Nails then attempted to collect thousands of dollars in fraudulent insurance claims.
