A correctional officer and six prison inmates were injured in a car crash in Baltimore Tuesday, according to a release from the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Service. The inmates were being shuttled from the Baltimore City Correctional Center on Greenmount Avenue when the van collided with another car.
Baltimore police are investigating the crash. One of the inmates suffered contusions and had to be taken to Shock Trauma for treatment, according to the release. Two of other inmates were taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital.
