Crash Involving Multiple Vehicles Jams California Freeway

A crash involving a big-rig, a bus and several other vehicles created a major traffic jam on southbound Interstate 15 through Escondido Tuesday morning. The crash happened at about 9:20 a.m. just south of Via Rancho Parkway, according to the California Highway Patrol. Helicopter video showed a damaged bus and a big rig stoppend on the shoulder of the freeway and several damaged passenger vehicles in the No. 4 lane. Traffic was passing the accident scene slowly, but vehicles were backup up to the north for several miles.
