Tropical Storm Bertha Forms in The Atlantic

Newly formed Tropical Storm Bertha was barreling toward the Lesser Antilles early Friday, the National Hurricane Center said. After forming late last night, the storm had maximum sustained winds of 45 mph and was churning through the Atlantic at 20 mph. Bertha was located about 170 miles east of Barbados, the hurricane center’s 5 a.m. advisory sad. Tropical storm warnings have been issued for Barbados, Dominica and St. Lucia, Puerto Rico, Vieques, Culebra, the U.S. and British Virgin Islands.
