Van Plunges Off Texas Overpass

A woman was rushed to the hospital after she drove off the Hardy Toll Road in northeast Harris County Sunday night, Precinct 1 deputies said. Deputies said the woman was headed southbound near Crosstimbers Street around 10:15 p.m. For unknown reasons, she lost control of her van, according to investigators.First, she hit the inside retaining wall, then, she slammed into the outside wall which launched her van over the side, they said. In video from the scene, it appeared the vehicle plunged at least 20 feet to the road below.
After the fall, deputies said the van rolled over at least one time.
