Florida Driver Crashes into Italian Restaurant

A 22-year-old man was arrested after police said he crashed into a Lake Wales restaurant, injuring a 95-year-old woman celebrating her birthday and her 81-year-old husband. According to Lake Wales police, witnesses told officers the driver of a Jeep Liberty, later identified as Conor Sullivan, was traveling eastbound on SR 60 and lost control of the vehicle. The Jeep left the roadway, drove through the parking lot of L’Incontro Restaurant, and through the front wall of the restaurant. Genevieve Sheldon and her husband Carl were seated inside the restaurant near the wall Sullivan crashed through, police said.
