Police Chase Ends in Crash in Newark, New Jersey

A police pursuit ended in a violent crash in Newark Thursday morning. The crash happened around 9 a.m. at the intersection of University Avenue and Market Street, right next to Essex County Community College, CBS 2’s Christine Sloan reported. A Jeep plowed into a red car, pushing the car onto the sidewalk and into an iron fence. Pieces of the vehicle were strewn across the street and sidewalk. Several people, including two police officers, were injured in the crash, Sloan reported.
