Police Chase Ends With Multi-Vehicle Crash in Tampa

A police chase down Interstate 275 ended with a multi-vehicle crash in downtown Tampa, closing the highway’s southbound lanes and clogging the Wednesday evening commute. The view from SkyFOX showed several vehicles involved in the crash in the southbound lanes near the Ashley Drive exit. Emergency crews were working to extract at least one victim from one of the vehicles. Early reports suggested that a police chase preceded the crash. It began when the driver of a stolen car crashed into a pole near Nebraska Avenue and 139th Street.
