Driver Walks Away from Four Story Fall Off Parking Garage

An elderly woman walked away from her Lexus SUV after driving it off a four-story parking garage. 79-year old Beatrice Taba was visiting her granddaughter at the apartments on Waikalani Place in Mililani Thursday morning. She parked in a visitor spot on the fourth floor. Witnesses thought she might have hit the gas instead of the brake and crashed through the cables. The SUV flipped and narrowly missed a tree as it plunged to the lawn below. It landed upside down. The air bags went off and all the windows were smashed but Taba was able to crawl out.
