As Thanksgiving weekend came to an end, there was wreck after wreck on Interstate 80 as snow blanketed the Donner Summit. For many, driving in a 2-wheel-drive car was a nightmare. “Just caught a slippery part, and just slid,” said one driver who skidded off the road. That driver told FOX40 he didn’t feel like he was going too fast.
“Not at all, we were going under 40,” He said. Not far away, another car completely flipped. The driver, Juan Alvarieo, told FOX40 he was only going around 35 miles per hour. “It just started spinning and that’s it,” Alvarieo said.
