Hundreds Wreck On Slick Virginia Roads

Virginia State Police report 344 wrecks across the state due to roads slickened by a winter storm. State police spokeswoman Corinne Geller says most of the crashes did not involve injuries, but troopers are investigating one fatal crash that happened about 2 a.m. on Interstate 85 in Dinwiddie County. More than 160 of the crashes occurred in the Richmond metro area. In the Chesapeake Division, troopers were called to 42 crashes. The Appomattox Division reported 77 crashes, while the Salem Division had 40.
