Tanker Fire Shuts Down Michigan Interstate

 Thursday, March 12, 2015

 ABC News

A stretch of eastbound Interstate 94 near the border between Detroit and the suburb of Dearborn could be closed into the weekend after a tanker truck fire. The tanker truck burned for nearly two hours following a crash late Wednesday morning in Dearborn that police say also involved two cars. The fire sent flames and black smoke into the air and across the area.
No serious injuries were reported. Authorities say the truck was hauling thousands of gallons of petroleum. Michigan Department of Transportation officials say fuel spilled into sewers, also creating fires.
