Colorado is now one of the worst places in the United States for natural disasters. Thats if your measure is insurance claims filed by homeowners. The state is now second only to tornado-struck Oklahoma for catastrophic claims, according to new data from the Insurance Research Council, a nonprofit that provides information on the industry. The increased impact of specifically wildfires and hailstorms in recent years means some homeowners have seen their rates double. And others wont get their policies renewed and will have to find insurance through another provider.
